What to Expect
The first treatment begins with a detailed intake including visual tongue diagnosis and pulse palpation. This allows me to develop a diagnosis that is unique to you. By treating the “root” of your problem, symptoms will be alleviated and balance restored to your body.
A variety of acupuncture points are chosen depending on your diagnosis. Sterile disposable needles are used which have a solid center making then totally different from hypodermic syringes (those used to draw blood). Typically about the width of a hair, these fine needles are gently inserted into the skin.
Each individual response to acupuncture is different; however, most experience a great sense of relaxation. This sense of relaxation not only combats the stress of everyday life but helps continue the healing process even after your treatment is over.
